Now Hiring: Part-Time Family Support Specialists

ASK Resource Center wants you to join our team! We are seeking qualified candidates to fill two part-time, hourly positions offering 16 hours per week with a flexible daytime schedule. Parents and primary caregivers with the lived experience of raising a child with a disability are encouraged to apply.

The Family Support Specialist positions will work under the Parent Training and Information Center and Family to Family Health Information Center projects here at ASK. The primary duties include:

  • Following up with families who have contacted ASK for guidance concerning their child's special education and/or health care needs
  • Providing families with the information, resources, and support they need to effectively advocate for their children's disability-related needs
  • Informing families of their rights and the rights of their children, and assisting them in conflict resolution without legal action whenever possible
