Family Voices: A Conversation with Iowa Families about the Future of Special Education

Do you have a child in special education? This is every parent's opportunity to be heard! We have an important opportunity for families to help shape special education over the next 6 years!

 

ASK Resource Center and the Iowa Department of Education have partnered to offer two webinars for families to provide input.

 

One webinar will focus on families of students ages birth to 3. The second webinar is for families of students ages 3 to 21. We welcome all families to attend both webinars so your voice may be heard.

 

The webinars will start with staff members from the Iowa Department of Education sharing about the planning so far. After that, families will have a chance to answer three questions:

• What is going well?

• What should be changed?

• What ideas do you have for the future?

 

Space is limited, and recordings of these sessions will not be made available. The final date to register is November 22nd.
