Michelle Murphy serves on the Outreach team for State Treasurer Roby Smith. Michelle earned her B.S. degree in Journalism with a minor in Multimedia from Northwest Missouri State University in 2000. She has worked for the Treasurer’s Office for over 15 years.

Michelle’s knowledge of programs within the State Treasurer’s Office include Iowa’s 529 plans, Iowa’s Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) plan and Great Iowa Treasure Hunt.
