April 13: ASK an Expert- Understanding Developmental Milestones: When and How to Get Support

Understanding Developmental Milestones: When and How to Get Support

Tracking your child’s development can raise both exciting moments and important questions. Join ASK’s Early Childhood Coordinator, Jill Stevenson, for a webinar that will help families understand why developmental milestones matter and how they support a child’s growth in learning, communication, behavior, and social skills. Participants will learn how milestones are used to notice progress over time and identify when a child may benefit from extra support.

The session will also guide families in recognizing early signs that it may be time to seek help and how to take that next step with confidence. Presenters will share practical strategies families can use at home to support development, along with tips for working collaboratively with professionals such as pediatricians, early intervention providers, and educators. Families will leave with helpful resources, clear action steps, and reassurance that they are not alone in supporting their child’s development.

Participants will:

✅ Understand why developmental milestones matter and how they help track your child's growth, learning, and interactions.
✅ Recognize when it's time to seek support.
✅ Identify practical steps and resources families can use to work with professionals and support development at home.
